"We want to provide anything and everything you. need to make life simpler moving to' Seaforth," says BIA chair Cathy Elliott. Elliott says the BIA discovered they needed to add some important elements after learning' from new neighbours that they had been put- ting out the garbage only to watch their neighbours' garbage be picked up and theirs left behind. "Not every municipality has a private contractor for garbage and other places don't need their garbage in clear bags. It can take awhile for newcomers to figure that out on their own," she says. The BIA has" asked its members, the municipality, local service clubs, churches and anyone who's interested to submit material for the blue boxes. "We have letters of welcome from the mayor and anything else we thought was useful, something we • know people would use," she says.
