So far we have missed most of the showers which means flowers and gardens have to be watered. Speaker for this Sunday's service at Cavan United Church was Bruce Whit- more. Title of his sermon was "Like • a Little • Child." Greeters and collec- tors were Marjorie Dolmage and Ruth Campbell. Next Sunday's speak- er is Ruth. Ruth and her two children of Switzerland cousin of John. Braecker, are visiting with the Braeckers. . Visiting recently with Beatrice Camp- bell was her nephew Edward Campbell and friend from Toronto area. Beatrice hadn't seen him for several years. They also went and picked up Bill Campbell from Huronview and all had a good visit. Edward grew up on the former Regele farm on the Winthrop Road. Sandra Morey, Nicole, Cassie and Tyler visited with Denise Morey and family in Morris Plains, New Jersey recently. Winthrop Road was closed for three Hours on Thursday as a feed truck and recycling truck collided at the corner of Sawmill Road and North Line. The Saturday, Aug. 29 barn dance and show sponsored by the Hensall South Huron Agricultural Society starts at 8 p.m. and the dance goes from 10 p.m. until midnight.
