You are the guy WhO 11 decide where to go
By Sabrina Meidinger
and Logan Bruxer
We would like to thank everyone who
have helped us prepare for this evening.
We would like to thank our parents and
family members, all of the teachers and
supply teachers we have encountered
throughout the years, the EAs, secre-
tarys and principals, all of the staff and
fellow students, our parish community,
especially Father Chris, and most of all
Sesame Street for teaching us our alpha-
bet.
We . would like to start the night off
with a quote from Dr. Seuss.
"You have brains in your head. You
have feet in your shoes. ,You can steer
yourself in any direction you choose.
You're on your own. And you know what
you know. You are the guy who'll- decide
where to go. "
We'd now like to take a moment to
thank our classmates for letting us talk
on behalf of them. We have been through
many things together guys. And we'd like
to remind you of each other and different
situations we've found ourselves in.
Jessica Upshall We remember a time
''_= ng class in Grade 6 when Mrs.Marcy
asked how many halves were in a whole.
I guess Jess was zoned out because her
answer was three. Although Jess is usu-
ally one of the quieter ones in class she
can often be heard on the other side of
the playground talking and laughing
with friends.
Daniel Dobson - A few years ago, Dan
did a karate routine for the talent show.
Although many of us were too immature
to take it seriously, we all enjoyed it.
Dan is not only good at karate but when
we were younger I was always jealous of
Dan's reading abilities. Dan has many
talents and he has truly been au asset to
our class. -
Shelby Janmaat - Shelby is really out-
going and is a complete tank at track and
field. We could see Shelby being a model
in the future not only because she's so
pretty but also because she is fun to be
around and has a great personality.
Kenny VanBakel - Ken is a really nice
guy and is amazing at every sport made.

Kennard is not only good at sports but is
very smart. So smart that we consider
him a math wizard. Ken has made Gauss
Math the last two years straight. "Both
years?" no big deal Ken.
Abby McGavin - Abby is known for her
random outbursts in the middle of a con-
versation. Abby will also beremembered
for her super hearing. Abby could hear
her name being said from the opposite
side of the playground. She has a very
intriguing personality. This could be
because when you talk to her you can
sense her self confidence. We would like
to thank you for always building us up
and making us believe in ourselves. And
you really have a beautiful smile.
Jeremy " Chisolm - This year Jeremy
received the Trustees Award for show
ing leadership not only -in our classroom
but also within the school. Jeremy has a
very strong faith and shares it with our,
parish community by altar serving and
spreading the word of God.
Kiera Vere - Kiera joined the clan in
Grade 6 and fit right in. We immediately
fell in love with her the time she went
to kick the soccer ball in gym class. She
successfully kept the ball in place while
doing a flip in the air and landing on her
back. Luckily, she was alright. Thought
she may be a little clumsy, she has a very
warm and welcoming presence.
Tyler Primeau - From Day 1, Tyler al-
ways kept us guessing. When we were
younger Ty had a mohawk that was a dif-
ferent colour every two weeks. You name
a colour, Tyler had it. Ty now keeps us
guessing with his witty personality. Ty-
ler is a really nice guy and we were truly
lucky to have him all these years.
Claire VanDoornik - Claire has a lot
of potential in many fields. From baking
anything you can imagine to creating a
masterpiece with nothing more then a
pencil and paper, it is easy to say Claire
has many talents. -
Maddie Melady - Maddie could be one
of the friendliest people you would ever
meet in a life time. If friends are in an
argument Maddie will always take the
time to listen to both sides of the story,
but even then would not take sides. She

sets a very good example for peers young
and old. Mad also demonstrated her
many skills in Willy Wonka Jr. this year.
From gymnastics to singing, Maddie can
do it all.
Max Jansen - Max may strike you as
being very quiet, but is a prime exam-
ple of "one of the guys." One of the first
things you will notice about Max is his
smile. Max may be quiet but when he
smiles it is impossible not to smile back.
Caleigh Janmaat - better known to our
class as Ron or Rono. I am personally
jealous of Rono's metabolism. She could
eat chocolate bars all day or drink a bot-
tle of grease and not gain a pound. Ron is
very goofy and says some of the wackiest
things. There's not a moment spent with
Ron when you aren't, smiling.
Jason Poppe - JP will be best remem-
bered by his winter wardrobe consisting
of shorts, running shoes, and a sweater.
Jason is also known for speaking his
mind. Although somedays he gets a little
crazy, that's how we like him.
Leah De Corte - Leah brings warmth to
the room and her laugh alone can make
anyone smile. Her personality shines
even on the cloudiest of days and we are
very lucky to have her around everyday.
Bradley Nigh - Brad is one of those
people that would be the first to respond
to a call for help. He demonstrates this
every time he dashes out the door when
told to " hurry." B -Rad also has a wide
knowledge of super heros - he proved
this to us the day we went to the faith re-
treat. Because Brad is caring and quick
on his feet, he makes the perfect class
super hero.
Keshia Feeney - We will remember
Keesh for being her own person. Keesh
was never one to care about what people
thought or said about her. We respect her
because she respects herself. We would
like to thank you for teaching us to be
our own person.
Morgan Flanagan - Morgan always
has a positive outlook on life. If you're
having a bad day, you can always go to
Morgan to cheer you up and get your
smile back. Many simply adore her for
her crazy and fun personality and that

laugh of hers has had us giggling since
Day 1.
Kassid- - Eckert - Kassidy is a champ
on and off the field. Kassidy gives back
using her fun -loving personality. A few
years back, Kas had extremely long hair.
She took the risk of cutting it all off in
front ,of the entire school just to give
back to someone with cancer. This act of
kindness really shows the appreciation
Kas has for the little things we take for
granted.
Tommy Garick - Tom is the first per-
son to turn to if you need help with your
math homework. Zbm is our human cal-
culator. He is not only really smart, but
is also a nice guy. Tom could befriend
anyone he came in contact with.
Sadie Jansen - Sadie is one of the best
friends anyone could have. She's a shoul-
der to cry on, someone you can always
turn too to let out your troubles, emo-
tions, or secrets and she's always tight
lipped. Sade can get along with anyone
she encounters. Sadie is smart, athelet-
ic, funny and very kind. She is always
happy and makes it seem so easy to nev-
er have a bad day.
Shayna Melady - We could write a nov-
el about Shay's fun and crazy personlity.
Shayna is a track star! She always keeps
us guessing with her wild personality.
We can remember so many hilarious mo-
ments spent with Shay. From reciting
lines from youtube videos "Why don't
you come into the store so we can help
you even more. Cause then we'll know "
" I'm going to be honest with you, I prob-
ably won't fit through the double doors.
I'm on the Jenny Craig." to her random,
crazy, outbursts. Shayna is the one who
always keeps us laughing.
Michael Kramers - Mike is one of the
quieter ones in our class but is very good
at sports. Mike owns track every year.
He is easy-going and does not get angry
often. If you glance across the room at
Michael, you will soon realize that he is
always smiling.
Renee Robinson - Renee drew every set
for Willy Wonka Jr. Her artistic talents
made the pi o, `ion that much better.
