The Executive Committee of
the 2017 International Plowing
Match and Rural Expo (IPM
2017), is happy to announce
that Maelstrom Winery will be
the official supplier of wine at
IPM 2017 and its related events.
Maelstrom Winery, and the
Landsborough Family, were the
first to plant grape vines in
Huron County. Battling the
I iuron County climate, that is
very diverse from the traditional
grape growing regions in
Ontario that is Niagara Region
and Prince Edward County,
Maelstrom has achieved VQA,
a strict designation to achieve.
The two wines selected for
IPM 2017 include their white
wine 2015 VQA Vidal, silver
medal winner at the 2017 Fin-
ger Lakes International Wine
Competition, and their red
2016 VQA Tempest. Mael-
strom Winery is located at
78925 Sanctuary Line, just off
Hwy 8 between Seaforth and
Clinton. Open seven days a
week 11 A\1 - 6PM offering
the opportunity to drop by to
taste and purchase.

U11 Gids Shamrock
The girls played a strong
game against Exeter on
Thursday, June 8 in Exe-
ter. St. Columban kept good
control of the ball but it just
wasn't enough as the only
goal in the game was scored
on a breakaway by Exeter,
they beat St. Columban 1-0.
On Thursday, June 15, the
girls played a very strong game
against Lucan in St. Colum -
ban. They worked hard and
kept the ball in Lucan's half of
the field most of the game.
Khallee Eisler was able to
break away to score the only St.
Columban goal in the second
half, however it just wasn't
enough as the final score was
2-1 for the visiting team.
U11 Boys Celtic
The U11 Boys St. Columban
Celtic traveled to Wingham
Monday, June 12 where they
came away with a 3-0 victory.
James McCarthy opened the
scoring and it stayed 1-0 at the
half. Kyle Mills added two
more to seal the victory. Strong
defensive play by Thymen
VanderPloeg and Lucas
Mahon set the tone at the back
for the Celtic. Jack Nolan and
Kyle Mills got the shut out
U13 Girls
It was a busy week for the
U13 girls after a break the
week before. The girls trav-
elled to Lucknow on Monday,
June 5. Lucknow was quick to
set the pace of the game scor-
ing just minutes in. The girls
just couldn't catch a break
and ended up losing 4-0. With
a practice on Wednesday, they
were back and ready to play
Thursday night (June 8)
against Goderich. St. Colum -
ban took the lead and stayed
The selections will be fea-
tured at the IP\1201 7 Beautifi-
cation Banquet Thursday
August 31, where winners of
the Beautification and Barn
Quilt Competitions will be
announced in addition to live
entertainment by The Ballagh's
of 'l'eeswater, and at the IPM
2017 Celebration of Excel-
lence, Friday September 22,
where the Queen of the Furrow
is selected and the Plowing
Champions are announced.

with a 3-1 win. Netminding
duties were shared by Kate
Roth and Chelsea Van-
denheuvel . Goals were
scored by Sarah Klaver, Ari-
anna Catalan and Kate Roth.
U13 Boys Celtic
On Tuesday, June 6 the
team travelled to Blyth and
braved the cold spring night
to win 5-4. Cam Smith
scored twice, Ty Hoste scored
twice and Dylan Follett
scored once. Assists were
recognized by Dylan Follett,
Johny Ryan (2), Ty Hoste and
Maelstrom Winery for S40 and
S50 each, respectively. You can
also enjoy a glass throughout
the Klatch at the Lounge Tent
in Tented City.

of Excellence and Queen of the
Furrow Competition "This is
the night we get to celebrate an
amazing week gone by, crown
the Queen, and announce the
champion plowman in addi-
tion to those representing
Jason Mills. Strong goal tend-
ing was displayed by Nathan
Fell and Mike O'Rourke.
On Tuesday, June 13 the
team hosted Goderich and
played a strong defensive
game with the help of Seth
Morgan, Wes Terpstra, Korbin
Alles and Jack Dolmage. Kody
O'Rourke scored both goals,
but the team was unable to
find the back of the net for
another goal and ended
up short, losing the game 3-2.
U13 Boys Shamrock
The U13 Boys Shamrocks
turned on the heat in
Ontario at the Canadian Cham-
pionships.. Plus, great local food
by Cardiff's Catering"

County for $15 with tickets

Wingham...in the heat of
Tuesday, June 13. They
worked to achieve a 3-2 win
over the home team. The first
goal was scored by Brayden
Vosper while Jonathan ten -
Hag scored the final two goals.
U15 Girls
On Monday, June 12, the
U15 Girls hosted Blyth on
their home pitch. The home
team defeated their visitors
3-0. St. Columban goals were
scored by Allysa Greidanus
(2) and Kiara Driscoll. Goal -
tenders Driscoll and Kimmi
Doyle earned the shut out.

Purpose of the member only general meeting:
1. To discuss and vote on a motion of Non Confidence of the ten (10) existing Board of Directors
and to terminate their tenure as Directors of HDC immediately.
2. To present new Director candidates to the members and vote on a motion to elect up to
ten (10) new HDC Member Directors to fill the vacancies and the term left by each existing
Director immediately if point 1. is approved.
Location of meeting: Likely to be determined by the present HDC Board of Directors as per the
Ontario Co -Operative Corporations Act.
Date of Meeting: My suggestion to the board is a Wednesday or Thursday night in July, 2017 7:30,
but the specific date is likely to be determined by the HDC Board of Directors as per the Ontario
Co -Operative Corporations Act.
A Hensall District Cooperative, Incorporated Member Requisition Form is also attached on this
page to petition the HDC Board of Directors to call a members' only meeting concerning only the
agenda items on the notice of meeting.
It is very important that the attached Requisition Form be completed, cut out and forwarded
to Earl Wagner asap. It is only after I forward the minimum number of requisitions to the Board
of Directors that they will be required to call the Members Meeting as required by the Ontario
Co -Operative Corporations Act.
