MaY0r and Reeve A former mayor Of Seaforth and for nearly 60 years an ;le tive citizen, Dr. Foster llarhurn. 85, died in Huronview Friday. He bad been in poor health about a year. Keenly interested in the coni- mgnity, Dr. Harburn served on town council for eight years, two as reeve and two years as mayor. Be was a member of North- side United Church, an elder and for a number of years was treasurer. He had served for seven years on the Maitlandbank cemetery board, had been active in the Seaforth Agricultural So- ciety for about 45 years; was a past _secretary -treasurer of the (,Radian p rder of Foresters, °had een a member -of W( 0`F and,. About 500 Scouts, C u b s, • Brownies. Girl Guides, Rangers • and Rovers took part in the • parade in spite of the heavy rain falling at the time. Taking part in the parade were Seaforth District High School Girls' Trumpet Band, Mitchell Brass Band and St. Marys Pipe Band. Participating in the service were Rev. J. C. Britton, Rev. D. 0. Fry, Rev. Father Sullivan, T. F. Wilbee, Mrs. Ken Doig, R. M. Eyre, Mrs. Thos. Lavender, and Rev. J. H. Vardy.
