Locals lined up for plates of food May 12. A taste of Italian food at the Van Egmond House Shaun Gregory Huron Expositor The aroma of Italian food lingered at the Van Egmond House last Friday. The annual Pasta Dinner entered into its second year of providing a hardy meal to locals at a cost of S12 a plate, children 12 -years -old and under paid S8 and as usual Seaforth Lions Club Annual Park & Pool Fundraising Campaign • We are seeking your help to maintain the beautiful park facilities, ball diamond, pavilion and swimming pool. • Due to the theft of our lawn tractor last fall, we must replace this equipment at a cost of approximately $10,000 • It is only through the generosity of our community members that we are able to maintain this valuable family oriented facility. Box 292, Seaforth, ON, NOK 1WO. AH donations receive a charitable tax receipt. We Serve preschoolers ate for free. The staff from the event worked from 3 p.m. May 12 with six pots of spaghetti and an abundance of garlic bread followed by desserts for guests arriving at 5:30 p.m. "We just decided that we are going to do it, we sell tickets with a target of 75-100 tickets," explained the kitchen coordinator, Heather Forrest after serving a long line up. It's events like this that keep the Van Egmond House up and running, she said. "It's very expensive to maintain it, we are always building or fixing something, we recently just installed some new windows." The next event on the Van Egmond House's schedule is the Spring Breakfast, which will take place June 18.
