Three volunteers recognized for efforts at Seaforth Manor
National Volunteer Appreciation
Week went from April 23 - April 29
and the Seaforth Manor celebrated
by hosting a homemade lasagne
luncheon followed by entertainment
by Martin Gelinas before honouring
a selected few.
There were approximately 35
attendees at the Luncheon. Each
year long-term care homes are
invited to nominate volunteers for
the Ontario Long Term Care Associ-
ation's Circle of Excellence Program
award.
Seaforth Manor is proud to
announce that they awarded three
volunteers who will receive the pres-
tigious certificate award. Dianne
Bennett, a retired employee of the
Manor is now a member of the vol-
unteers is one of the winners.
Diane assists with the bowling
program, large events and visits reg-
ularly with our residents. Raj Par -
mar, who is a current Physiotherapy
Assistant, volunteers at the weekly
bingo program. Melissa Schwarz
helps with the Fun and Fitness pro-
gram, campfires and large events.
Residents and staff welcomed all
the volunteers to the home as they
provided extra fun, laughter, and
enjoyment to resident programs. All
volunteers received a gift that had
been made by the residents, to thank
them for being a volunteer.
