NORTH HURON
(NORTH HURON, Ont.) - Huron
County Ontario Provincial Police
(OPP) is currently conducting
a death investigation at a farm
property located on London
Road just northwest of Blyth.
The Huron County OPP Crime
Unit, OPP Forensic Identifica-
tion Services (FIS) and Office
of the Chief Coroner are assist-
ing with this investigation.
This investigation is ongoing
and further updates will be pro-
vided as they become available.
YOUNG DRIVER
CHARGED WITH
RACING
(GODERICH, Ont.) - A young
driver from Ashfield-Col-
borne-Wawanosh has been
charged with Racing fol-
lowing a traffic stop that
took place on April 12,
2017. At approximately
12:12 a.m. a Huron County
Ontario Provincial Police
(OPP) officer observed a
Toyota Celica travelling
northbound on Cove Road
at a high rate of speed.
The officer confirmed his
observations with a RADAR
device and was able to obtain
a speed measurement of the
Celica at a speed in excess
of 60km/h over the posted
30 km/h zone. A traffic stop
was initiated and the driver
was subsequently charged.
A 19 -year-old from Ashfield-
Colborne-Wawanosh has
been charged with «Race
a Motor Vehicle - Exces-
sive Speed.. He has a
court appearance sched-
uled for May 23, 2017 at
the Provincial Offences
Act Court in Goderich. His
licence has been sus-
pended for seven days and
his motor vehicle will be
impounded for the week.

Identity of Deceased Released
(SOUTH HURON, Ont.) - The
Ontario Ministry of Labour and
the Huron County Ontario Pro-
vincial Police (OPP) Detach-
ment continue to investi-
gate a fatal accident that
took place southwest of Exe-
ter on Monday morning.
Shortly after 9:15 a.m. on April
10, 2017 Huron OPP, Huron
County Paramedic Services
and South Huron Fire Depart-
ment responded to a 9-1-1
call for assistance at a grain
elevator located on Kirk -
ton Road southwest of Exe-
ter. Upon arrival emergency
personnel located an unre-
sponsive male victim. The
adult male's injuries proved
to be fatal and he was pro-
nounced dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation
has revealed a truck driver had
just finished dropping off his
Toad and he had cleared the
weigh station. Prior to leav-
ing the grain elevator property
the driver stopped to check on
the condition of his trailer. A
short while later he was found
lying pinned beneath one
of the tractor -trailer tires.
Investigators from The Minis-
try of Labour, OPP West Region
Technical Traffic Collision
Investigation Team (TTCI) and
OPP Commercial Motor Vehicle
Safety Unit attended the scene
to assist with the investigation.
The deceased has been iden-
tified as William INCH, 62
years of age from St. Marys.

ATTEMPT
(SOUTH HURON, Ont.) - Huron
County Ontario Provincial Police
(OPP) officers have identi-
fied and arrested one of the
males involved in a break,
enter and theft investigation
that occurred at the South
Huron Recreation Centre the
first weekend of March.
On March 4, 2017 two sus-
pects entered into the arena
lobby around shortly before
11:00 p.m. and stole a Gor-
die Howe «Mr. Hockey•
framed print that was being
auctioned off for Special
Olympics. The thieves left
the building and returned
early the next morning
around 5:19 a.m., this time
once inside the arena they
made their way to the con-
cession booth. They forced
entry into the conces-
sion stand but were scared
off when they tripped a
motion sensor alarm.
Investigators were able to iden-
tify one of the involved males
and a warrant was sought for
his arrest. A Huron OPP officer
observed the wanted male
yesterday afternoon on Main
Street in Lucan. Police arrested
the male and he was taken
into custody without incident
A 35 -year-old from South
Huron has been charged with
two counts each of Break
& Enter - Commit Indict-
able Offence, Use Disguise
with Intent and Fail to Com-
ply with Probation Order. He
was held in custody for a
bail hearing that took place
earlier today at the Ontario
Court of Justice - Goderich.
The investigation remains
open as investigators attempt
to identify the second male.
Additionally, investigators
remain hopeful that the sto-
len hockey print is recovered.
