The Lucknow and District Kins-
men have a star-studded country

rick, River Town Saints, Alee, Gene-
vieve Fisher and more.
"We believe that Lucknow's
Music in the Fields is largely
unique from many other festivals,"
said MITF marketing director,
Steve Neeb. "Showcasing world-
class country music artists with a
cross-section of established and
rising acts, we bring the stars to
small-town Ontario."
Headlining the Saturday stage will
be international recording star Jake
Owen. An ACM winner with six
albums to his name, all of which
reached the Top 10 on the country

Much has changed for 2017, most
importantly moving the venue to a
new site. Still within the limits of
Lucknow, the entire festival will be at
"Graceland" including all campsites,
which means everyone will have
easy access to the festival grounds.
Other new experiences include:
Additional beverage selection from
Craft breweries and wineries,
which will augment the traditional
Sepoy Saloon selections, and a new
all -ages festival grounds.
"Not many villages can speak to
the talent that has performed at
Lucknow's Music in the Fields, but
it has developed into so much
more than a music festival," said
Neeb. "With around 75% of the
patrons camping, the festival has
become a weekend destination. In
this very competitive market, we
continue to make changes to keep
hv ea orthhuronex s ositor.co
the event fresh and look for new
ways to engage our crowds."
He added that despite all of the
changes, the event remains the
"same intimate, family -friendly fes-
tival, with 100% of the proceeds
going to charity."
With distributions now over
$1,000,000, MITF remains a critical
component of the local
community.
