By trade she is o dental hygienist in public health however just over a year and a half ago she entered a contest put on by the Municipality of Huron East called Win This Space and wouldn't you know it... she won! The rest they say 'is history'! Trina has hit the ground running and hasn't looked back. Still working full time in public health, Trina enjoys the challenge of working two full-time jobs. The Cotton Harvest Quilt shop is a place where warm country hospitality will invite you to linger just a little bit longer among the vintage, reproduction fabrics and heritage prints. You'll want to find that special project to use some of their Cherrywood Hand Dyed fabrics in. Fabrics dyed and over dyed to give the look of suede to this 100% cotton fabric. Embroidery enthusiasts won't be disappointed. The embroidery corner is bountiful in splendid patterns from Crabapple Hill and Buttermilk Basin to name a few popular designers. The Cosmo floss cabinet is always full and awaits your next project. This floss is amazing to work with. It looks, feels and works like silk but is 100% cotton and will give your embroidery projects that little extra punch they deserve! Whether the family is related by blood, or by shared experience in community, Betty loves them! She started working in retail, then was a waitress in Lucknow for a few years. Waitressing was fun for Betty, even though it's hard work, simply because she is a people person. Sally's Closet is a smorgasbord of various items for sale. They offer quality used clothing which is brought in on consignment. Betty takes consignment clothing by appointment only, and she sets the price. She says that the clothing offered is the ultimate recycling, because it is sold to someone who loves it and the consignor gets paid for it, too! After three months, the clothing gets donated to charity. In addition to clothing, there is plenty of furniture, wall art, books, toys and household items for sale. It's fun to just pop Sally's Closet is open Tuesday - Saturday at 10 am, dosing at 6 on Tuesday &. Wednesday, at 5 on Thursday & Friday, and at 3 on Saturday. in while waiting for a prescription or an appointment downtown, and just browse the store, looking for something special. Another thing Sally's Closet is known for is their Country Chic paint. This is a Canadian made, chalk based paint, perfect for furniture or projects around the home. Betty became a distributor for Country Chic after she won a painting class at a silent auction. She took her daughter to the class, and they both loved it! Betty decided she wanted to carry a Canadian made product, so she did her research and discovered Country Chic had been launched just a few months prior. Betty has become one of the top sellers in the company! She offers workshops in her store, or in various locations in the area. Betty small, owner JEWELLERS Lm. Seaforth Jewellers Ltd. has been a constant on Seaforth's main street for well over 40 years. and Nancy Anstett has been there for 29 of these years. The store offers a large selection of giftware from crystal to frames to purses to clocks, just to mention a few. All gifts are gift wrapped free of charge, but the heart of the business is jewellery. Nancy is always on the lookout for new styles and trends to stock her store. A wide variety of sterling silver and gold items fill the showcases. Diamonds and stones of all kinds are found, each set in their own unique setting. While it's hard to compete with the larger centers and larger stores, Nancy prides herself and her staff on giving great customer service and personal attention to each and every sale. The store is open weekdays 9am - 6pm and 9am - 5pm on Saturday to best accommodate customers with extended hours during holidays. Reliable repair service, engraving and a sideline trophy business is also available. Nancy feels it is viable to have multiple services to look after everyone's needs in a small community. Like any career, being a business owner has it's ups and downs, but Nancy truly enjoys running Seaforth Jewellers Ltd. and looks forward to continuing to serve Seaforth and the surrounding area for many years to come.
