In a do-or-die game 7
clash, the Huron East Cen-
tenaires faced Milverton
Four wheel Drives with the
winners being crowned as
the WOAA Senior "A"
champions.
The Cents were wel-
comed by their hometown
crowd of Seaforth March
25, the largest attendance
record in the team's history
said Centenaires marketing
& promotions director,
Brett Lee.
The 50/50 draw was at one
of its highest pots as well, by
the end of the night it
reached close to a S1000.
In the first period, the
Centenaires dealt with sev-
eral penalties and Milverton
capitalized leading 4-2 with
four minutes left in the first.
As the game went on, the
lead increased, both teams
were checking with force
and tempers were flaring.
The captain of the Cente-
naires, #7 Brendon Merritt
screamed from the bench to
Milverton's goaltender, "I'm
coming for you tonight."
The Cents were down 6-3
in the second period of
action, starting goalie Jesse
Raymond was pulled.
Always vocal off the
bench, backup netminder,
Alex Hutcheson took his
place.
Though Milverton's
aggressive puck control
would prevail, they won
10-5.
"Thank you everyone.
Players, staff and Seaforth,"
stated from the Centenaires
Twitter account. "This sea-
son was everything hockey
should be."
