Movie night in Seaforth
Shaun Gregory

With the support f numerous "in
kind" contributions rom an array of
organizations in Seaforth, local fami-
lies were given the opportunity to
watch a movie on the big screen free
of charge.
For the second year in a row, the
Huron East/Seaforth Community
Development Trust strategically
planned and sponsored this event to
be held during the week of March
Break.
Last year the event was at the Sea -
forth Agriplex where they welcomed
the Disney movie titled -the Good
Dinosaur and 12 months later, the
March 16 movie night showcased
another popular Disney flick
- Moana.
Mirroring the same attendance as
2016, HESCDT vice chair, Christie Lit-
tle said the movie was played in both
the afternoon and the evening at the
Seaforth Public School with roughly
150 people in attendance at each
showing.
"It's been really well attended and
well received," stated Little March 17.
"We had a conversation for some-
thing free for the community to do, to
keep families in town."
Using the Trust's projector, the space
at Seaforth Public School and the free -
of -charge use of the popcorn machine
thanks to the Seaforth Optimist Club,
Little added that the costs were
"minimal."
"Really the only thing that cost
money was popcorn," she said. "We
certainly are considering doing this
again during March Break next year."
"It's nice to have something availa-
ble in town."
