C.H.S.S, curling teams heading to WOSSAA
Both the girls and boys teams win two local
championships to move onto WOSSAA
On Feb 8-9 at the Exeter curling
club, local high schools competed
in the Huron Curling Champion-
ship. The C.H.S.S. girls and boys
teams defeated St. Anne's, Madill,
G.D.C.1. and South Huron in a
double knockout competition to
win the A side of the competition.
The B side winners were the St.
Anne's boys and Madill girls. All
four teams advanced to the
Huron -Perth Curling
Competition.
On Feb 16 at the Exeter curling
club, the top two girls and top two
boys teams from Huron County
and Perth County competed in
the Huron -Perth Curling Compe-
tition. The C.II.S.S. girls team
defeated Listowel, Madill and
Mitchell to be HP champions. The
C.H.S.S. boys team defeated two
St. Mikes teams and the St. Anne's
team to win the competition. Both
C.II.S.S. teams head to WOSSAA
on March 6 in London.
The C.II.S.S. boys team mem-
bers are Ian MacGregor (skip),
Tys Brinke, Sam MacGregor,
Hayden Flood and Jack Camp-
bell. The C.H.S.S. girls team con-
sists of Laura Henderson (skip),
Parker Doig, Lauren I-Iayter, Tay-
lor Proctor and Brooke Hayes.
