Cemetery church service scheduled for June 21
It still stays cool in Winthrop but
the rain has eased somewhat. How-
ever on Thursday, sporadic showers
were the order of the day.
The Foresters were happy that it
didn't rain on their barbeque duties.
It again was a delicious meal.
Rev. John's sermon at Cavan Unit-
ed Church was titled "The Strong
Man." Holy Communion was cel-
ebrated as well as the sacrament of
baptism. Hannah Elizabeth, daugh-
ter of Geoff and Michelle Dalton, was
presented for baptism. Greeters and
collectors were Marg McClure and
Ruth Campbell.
Upcoming events are the service at
the ball park on June 28 at 10 a.m.
There will be special music as well
as the brunch following the service.
The Cemetery Church Service and
Legion Decoration Service will be
held at the Maitlandbank Cemetery
on Sunday, June 21 at 11 a.m.

the hall upstairs. It will be
something to see when it is
finished in time for our 80th
anniversary three-day week-
end in August. But, there is
a lot of work ahead, so don't
be shy and sign up for lots of
volunteer clean-up when it
is finished.

cation Service Sunday afternoon,
June 7 at the Klopp Commemora-
tive Woods near Zurich. A tree was
planted as a liv-
