At a regional. track and field meet
at Seaforth Public School on June
10, local - athletes showedoff their
skills by winning gold medals in
many events.
In the senior boys' division, Sea -
forth Public School's Joe Metzger
earned first in the 100. metre dash,
second in the 200 metre dash and
shot put and third in the 400 metre
dash.
William Ringgenberg took third in
the 800 metre ` run . and also in shot
put.
In the senior girls division, Me-
lissa Glanville from Seaforth Public,
School took first in the 800 metre run
and third in the 400 metre dash.
Adriana Herrera placed first in the
shot put and Abbey Alexander took
second in the event.
Christina Schelken won first in the
softball throw and Ashley Campbell
took second in the triple jump and
third in the long jump.
Tabitha Arts won first in the high
jump event.
In the midget boys' division, Jack
Henderson earned a first lace rib-
bon in the 100 metre dash, 200 metre
dash, 400 metre dash and 800 metre
run
Josh Robinson took third in the 100
metre dash and 200 metre dash.
Brett Stackhouse won first in the
softball throw and Greg Jefferson
took second in the event.
In the midget girls' division, Amy
Alcock won first in the 800 metre
run.
Shelby Berard took first in the
standing long jump and also in the
standing long jump and Becca Foug-
ere took third in the event.
Meg Melady finished first in the
high jump and Tyler Leslie took sec-
ond in the event.
Sarah Menary placed second in the
softball throw and Allison Braecker
took third in the long jump event.
Braecker also finished second in the
standing triple jump.
In the intermediate boys' division,
Mackenzie Teatero won second in
the 400 metre dash and third in the
100 metre dash.
Tyler Morey finished second in
the 800 metre run and Mackenzie
Holland took third in . the shot put
event.

Coaches' comments: The rain did not wash oft the
Seaforth Mites. Good offensive play and hard on the bats
with homeruns from a few of our players. Keep up the great
teamwork.
Matt Murchison, from Huron Centennial Public School, won
the senior boys' long Jump event ,by a landslide during a re-
gional track & field meet in Seaforth June 10.
