rs of new 4H club celebrate `outdoor living
Outdoor -Living" is the new theme
of Clinton One 4 -H's current clubs
Thirteen attendees introduced
-themselves at leader Tammy Spar-
ling's home, on Monday, May 11. It
was decided to name the club, "The
Outsiders."
The following are the elected of-
ficers: president Sarah Thompson,
vice president Claire McFadzean,
secretary Troy Leeming and press
reporter Jillian Bjelan.
Pine cones covered in peanut but-
ter, rolled with birdseed make envi-
ronmentally -friendly bird feeders.
All 13 participants made excellent
bird feeders to take home. They also
did flower pressing with lots of beau-
tiful flowers from Mrs. Sparling's
garden.
Outside, they .explored around Mrs.
Sparling's home, using eyes, gars,
and noses.
This club has exciting things
planned, like spending meeting five
cooking a meal over a fire pit or
meeting six when they travel to the
University of Western Ontario's Cro-
nyn Observatory to "see the stars."
Next meeting will be held on Mon-
day, May 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Tammy,
Sparling's home, when Alec Ostrom,
will be a nature tour guide.

rhubarb from her
garden.
