Registered Practical Nurses provide holistic health care
working as a member of the multidisciplinary team,
administering medications and treatments and providing
supervision to health care team members. Qualifications
include nursing certificate and registration with the College of
Nurses of Ontario. Additional training is an asset - Assessment
Skills Course for Reg.N: s and 'R,P.N: s Level 1 and 2 or
equivalent, CAPCE- or P1.E.C.E.S courses.
Wage: RPN pay range as per SEIU is $21.19 - $24,72

Activation staff will work in the Activation Department to
enhance the quality of life forthe residents through Restorative
Care and in a recreational capacity. Minimum Diploma in
Recreation and Leisure studies or Diploma/Degree in
Therapeutic ` Recreation. Restorative Care training and
experience an asset.
Wage Rate: $18.94 per hour as per SERI Collective Agreement
Cook
Main duties include: Food preparation, . serving of meals to
residents and ensuring cleanliness of the foodservice area.
Qualifications include Branch 1 Cooks Certification, certificate
from recognized cooking course, current Safe Food Handling
Certificate. Experience in institutional cooking, and working
with the elderly an asset. •
Wage Rate: $18.94 per hour as per SEIU Collective Agreement
Huronuiew Home for the Aged is one of Huron County's municipal
homes, providing health services for people who can no longer live
independently in their own homes and need nursing and personal care
24 hours. -

PIPE Ruth: Ruth Isabel. (Vodden) Pipe of Brus-
sels, passedaway at Huronlea Home for the Aged
on Wednesday, May 6th, 2009. Born in Mullett
Township on February 18th, 1921, Ruth was in her
89th year. Ruth was the beloved wife of the late
John Pipe, who predeceased her in 1994 and will
be sadly missed by her children Robert and Su-
san Pipe of Lucan and Shirley and Jack Hossack
of Kitchener. Also loved be her grandchildren Mat-
thew Pipe and his fiance Suzie of London, Jason
and Linda Herd of Brantford and Brian Herd of Lu -
can. Predeceased by her sister Dorothy Daer.
Friends were received from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to
9 pm Friday from the Schimanski Family Funeral
Home, where the service wasconducted on Sat-
urday, May 9th at 2 pm with Reverend Cathrine ,
Campbell officiating.
Carrying floral tributes we,re Laura Lawrence, Liz
Coultes, and Isabel Campbell. Pallbearers were
John Pipe, Jack Coultes, Lorne Daer, Ken Daer,
Ed Daerand Ross Daer.
Interment in Brussels Cemetery.
