It is great to be away from mid November to mid
March if you are somewhere warm in the sunny
south, but when you are in hospitals for, that length
of time, it is not so much fun. Since suffering a
stroke in November, I have been a patient in Sea -
forth, Stratford, and finally Parkwood Hospitals. I
want to thank every doctor, nurse, therapist and
caregiver at all these facilities. The care I received
in all 3 hospitals was wonderful, and if it -were not
for every one of them I would not be enjoying
the recovery I have today. Although I was gone
four months, because of all my friends, relatives,
neighbours and Pastor Steve, I felt I was never too
far away from home. I wish to thank each and ev-
ery one for the many cards, gifts, flowers, visits,
phone calls and well wishes I received during my
hospital stays, and since returning home. You will
never know how much it meant to me, and what
a great part you alt played in keeping my spirits
high, which helped so much in my recovery. I also
want to thank all the members of .the stroke team,
and the home care faculty for their continued sup-
port, help and treatment. It is because of all of
you, I continue to improve. Thank you to everyone!
What a wonderful community to live in! - Maxine
