Spring is here and we at the Sea -
forth Legion are looking forward
to many sunny days..

the District. Convention in Owen
Sound.
Fifty branches are in this Dis-
trict and 49 were in attendance.
It was a well run meeting on
Sunday with elections being held.
We were one of the five branches
in Zone C1 with 100 per cent paid
up membership last year. Comrade
Gwen accepted a
plaque on behalf of
of the membership
for being the highest
paid up this year. Comrades Linda
Watson and Cheryl Nuhn put a
great effort into this time-consum-
ing job.

With less than a week to go, Hu-
ron Hospice Volunteer Service is
seeking hikers for, their annual
Hike for Hospice.
Two hikes arebeing hosted. by
Huron Hospice in Huron County,
one in Goderich at the Menese-
tung Trail and another hike site in
Wingham, beginning at the Lion's
picnic pavillion.
All funds raised by in the com-
munity remains in Huron: County
providing services and programs
to individuals and families facing
life -limiting illnesses.
Huron Hospice is a member
agency,ency .of . Huron United Way 'and.
offer many services to residents of
Huron County.
The Hike for Hospice is a na-
tional initiative across Canada
and thousands of Canadians will
be hiking rain or shine in support
of local Hospice programs.
Hospice care is available without
referral, to anyone in the commu-
nity, regardless of where you re-
side. Hospice provides care in long
term cat's residences, hospitals
and in the individual's home at no
charge.; +..
The services include respite and
visiting, and afterwards, there is
support for the bereaved family
members, including Grief Recov-
ery Outreach and the Rainbows
program for children who have ex-
