That's the bottom line," she says.
Her daughter Amy says the cattle
seemed undisturbed by the excite-
ment.
"They're still in the barn just eat-
ing their hay. They seem.to be fine,"
she says.
Neighbours and friends were at the
McClure's farm most of the weekend
helping to clear debris and bringing
food.
"We've been offered tractors and
machinery to helP clear the road. It's
really good to have good friends and
neighbours," says Sharlene.
Neighbour Wayne Dolmage, who
lives on Roxboro Line in the path of
the wind, says he was just arriving
home in his car when the storm hit.
"I was sitting in the laneway and
the old Lincoln was rocking so you
knew it was strong,"he says.
Dolmage says he didn't see any-
thing like a funnel cloud but could
see a wall of darkness heading to-
wards him.
"The whole sky was dark - it was a
lot of top soil blowing across the field.
and I sat in my car until it passed,"

"I could tell the storm had been
nasty but I never really gave it any
thought. Judy notics4 it first. She
said, 'Oh my god, look at our barn,'"
says Brian.,-.
"There were many pieces of twisted
metal all over the field. it just looks
like a mess," he says.
There were no animals in the barn,
which he says was mostly used for
storage.
"It's non-salvagable ttow,” he says,
adding that his house, driving shed
•• and many mature trees weren't
touched at all.
"It's like the wind just came along
looking for a barn roof," he jokes.
