Huron East driver charged when friends fall off back of pick-up truck An 18 -year-old Huron East man was charged with two counts of dan- gerous driving causing bodily harm after two 17-year-olds fell off the back of a pick-up truck driving around a farm in Bluewater on April 4. Huron OPP were sent to a residence on London Road after receiving a re- port of a 17 -year-old male injured on private property. Investigation revealed that a group of friends decided to put a sofa on the chassis of a 1953 GMC pick-up truck and drive around the property. After driving around. a few times, the sofa fell off, taking four riders with it. A 17 -year-old female suffered bro- ken bones while the 17 -year-old male was taken to London Health Sciences Centre for treatment. of serious inju- ries and was hospitalized.
