School awarded
for hard work
From Page 7
"It's not just the scores. It's exciting
to see that what we're doing is work-
ing and we're moving forward," she
says.
Peach says that while she's also not
comfortable with the school being
identified as a low income school, she
says the award acknowledges that
"all kids can learn."
"The teachers are really excited.
It's nice to be recognized for the hard
work we've been doing," she says.
The award comes with a plaque
that is displayed in the school lobby
and $3,000.
