as solution to flooded subdivision

Briarhill resident Shawn Allen said some
sort of solution is needed to stop the flooding.
"It's obvious we're going to have a lot of snow
in this area but I can't afford $30,000 worth
of damage in my basement every two years. I
don't care if it means a 30 -inch drain do it," he
said.
Another Briarhill resident, Dora Mote asked
if Huron East would consider a berm to prevent
water from coming across the agricultural field
behind the subdivision.
Mills responded that there could be all sorts
of solutions including a drainage pond.
Seili said that because there are two differ-
ent drainage systems both outside and inside
the subdivision, that town staff would have to
take another look at the problem.
"This is an abnormal snow year. You've got
to keep that in mind," he said. "We'll do some
more investigation and bring. something back
to the next meeting."

Driven to Quit is an Ontario -wide challenge encouraging people to quit smoking during the
