Radars earn big wiriin Tillsonburg
A night after another sub-
par effort in a home ice loss
to Exeter, the Clinton Ra-
dars may have played their
most complete sixty minutes
of the season, in a 7-0 romp
. over the Tillsonburg Thun-
der.
Against the Mohawks on
Friday, the Radars could not
muster up enough offense to
beat a team that only dressed
14 skaters. To Exeter's
credit, they battled hard all
night long and deserved the
win. Tyler Elligsen
scored his first senior hock-
ey goal in
'the first
period to
give the
Radars a
1-0 lead.

next three before Cole Stew-
art scored a powerplay goal
just over five minutes in to
the third period to make it
3-2. With
less than eight minutes
to play, Radars netminder
Chuck Robertson misplayed
a dump in - and Was caught
out of his net allowing Exeter
to score an easy goal and kill
any hopes of a Radars come-
back and giving the visitors
a 4-2 win.
On Saturday night in
Tillsonburg, the Radars wel-
comed their new goaltender
Sean Ellison to the team by
supplying plenty of goals. El-
lison, in turn made 31. saves
in collecting the shutout in
his first start.
Zack O'Krafka and Mark
VanDooren scored first pe-
riod goals for the Radars.
In the, second, Luke Vick,
Bill Bradley and Brenden
Dale each scored to make it
5-0 after two. Goals from
Cole Stewart and Kris Ham-
den in third period finished
off the Radars scoring.
Ellison, originally from Ex-
eter, is attending Brock Uni-
versity and came to the Ra-
dars after sending the team
an email.
The Radars brass deter-
mined a change was needed
and have decided to part
ways with Greg Klatt after
three and a half seasons. In
another move, D.J. Define
suffered a knee injury and
has been left off of the play-
off roster.
The Radars (9-6) next home
game is this Friday (Jan.16)
vs. Milverton (3-13) at 8:30.
On Saturday (Jan.17), the
Radars travel to Thedford
(0-18) for a 7:30 game.
