Everybody is hurrying to get presents, wrapped, bake cook- ies and make it a perfect Christmas, that they don't take time to think about why Christmas is so special. We can enjoy Christmas for a lot of reasons, but we should always take time to think about what Jesus did for us. Jesus was born on Christmas Day in Bethlehem. That is the real reason of why we cele- brate Christmas. Spending time with your family and friends at Christmas makes you realize how important they are to you. Of course everybody would like a present, but giving is more important than receiv- ing. The less fortunate and homeless don't have the joyful Christmas morning that we do with our family. While they are wishing that they could have a warm home to live in, some people are only thinking about themselves. Christmas means being even kinder to everybody that you usually are because everybody deserves a good Christmas. Next time you think about Christmas; I hope you think about Jesus' birth, being with your family, and kind- ness. After all, Christmas only comes once a year! Emily Vincent Grade 5/6 St. James To me the true meaning of Christmas is the birth of Jesus not getting presents (I do like getting presents), but getting presents is not the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas is all about being nice and giving someone else the present of love. Love is the best gift you can give anyone at Christmas time. Christmas means a lot of stuff to Grace FARMS. .
