Winthrop's Needle Club
stitches together for
last meeting of the year
Another
snowstorm
which closed
many roads and events including
Cavan Church service. The
manse held a Christmas Open
House on Sunday but for those
who couldn't make it, the manse
will be open next Sunday a.s
well.
I attended the Blyth school
concert which is held at a full
Festival Hall. The program was
entertaining and well presented
and included four of our grand-
children.
The Needle Club held their
last get together for this year.
Next,teeting will be Jan. 10 at
7:30 p.m. This is an informal
gathering, bring your special
interest - knitting, crocheting,
needlepoint, etc. Anyone inter-
ested may join us in the church
basement.
The UCW held their
Christmas meeting in the church
on Dec. 12. A delicious meal was
enjoyed by 20 women. Guest
speaker was Kendra Jewitt of
Blooms n' Rooms who showed
