On Christmas Eve there will be a
pageant of musical entertainment
at Carmel Presbyterian Church,
beginning at 7 p.m. Everyone is wel-
come to attend.
The annual Christmas tree light-
ing in Hensall took on a different
flavour this year.
Instead of a
Christmas tree,
we lit a large
wreath with 300
mini -lights on it.
This activity
was arranged by
the volunteer

Hensall, and the

Thanks go to the folks who took
time on a very cold and windy night

one yet.
On Dec. 11, the Hensall Fire
Department held a very successful
food drive in the village, collecting
non-perishable food items for the

Christmas Eve
From Page 11
"The singing is good. Choirs usu-
ally practise quite a bit more.
They're usually quite beautiful cele-
brations that people put a lot of
work into."
Hildebrand from Egmondville
United agrees.
"It is a wonderful feeling from
behind the pulpit when the church
is overflowing on Christmas Eve
and everybody is giving 100 per
cent to the singing, he says. "It is
really quite an emotional time, I
think, for a lot of ministers."
Bethel Bible Church's Pastor
Mark Kennedy's favourite part of it
all is, "the focussed intent on cele-
bration, just prior to the busy activ-
ities of the next
day."
Rev. Robert
Hutchison is
serving on an
interim basis for
the Anglican
Parish of the
Holy Spirit in
Clinton,
Seaforth and
Mitchell.
"It's exciting,"
he says of the
higher numbers.
"It's gratifying.
It lets one know
that our spiritu-
ality is still
alive."
