Coun. George Robertson (South Huron) expressed concern with a plan that will see the county clerk in charge of collecting fines for ATV infractions since the trails are on lower -tier property. He added one of the challenges is developing a comprehensive ATV policy since there are no precedents set. Coun. John Bezaire (Central Huron) said developing a policy is a step in the right direction as he has learned from personal experience that ATV clubs are accountable. Bezaire noted he used to have trou- ble with ATVers wreaking havoc on his property. "Since the stakes went up, I have not had a single problem," he said.
