Huron Expositor, 2007-12-05, Page 22Page 22 The Huron Expositor • December 5, 2007 Sports CHSS senior boys win consolation championship The CHSS Redmen senior boys' basketball team earned their third consecutive consolation champi- onship at the annual South Huron DHS basketball tournament. CHSS started the weekend Friday afternoon against a very large and intimidating team from Lambton. The Redmen went down 15 at the half. The Redmen fought through the second half, but could never erase the early deficit, losing by 14 and putting them on the consolation side yet again. They started Saturday nice and Graduation LORI (IIENDERSON) MILLER Lori (Henderson) Miller graduated from the Faculty of Education at the University of Western Ontario on June 15. 2007 receiving a Bachelor of Education degree with dis- tinction. The Panthers of Exeter scored seven straight points to start the second half, but the Redmen recov- ered and cruised to a 45 - 26 victory. The Redmen found themselves in the consolation finals against the Parkhill Marauders. Again the Redmen jumped out to the same 27- 10 lead, but instead of letting up at the start of the second half, the Redmen continued to play well and won 47 - 23. • The Redmen look to continue their winning ways this Wednesday against the Mitchell Blue Devils in their first league game at CHSS.
