CHSS senior boys win
consolation championship
The CHSS Redmen senior boys'
basketball team earned their third
consecutive consolation champi-
onship at the annual South Huron
DHS basketball tournament.
CHSS started the weekend Friday
afternoon against a very large and
intimidating team from Lambton.
The Redmen went down 15 at the
half. The Redmen fought through
the second half, but could never
erase the early deficit, losing by 14
and putting them on the consolation
side yet again.

early at 8:30 a.m. against the host
Exeter team. This time Central
Huron jumped ahead and held a 27-
10 lead at half.
The Panthers of Exeter scored
seven straight points to start the
second half, but the Redmen recov-
ered and cruised to a 45 - 26 victory.
The Redmen found themselves in
the consolation finals against the
Parkhill Marauders. Again the
Redmen jumped out to the same 27-
10 lead, but instead of letting up at
the start of the second half, the
Redmen continued to play well and
won 47 - 23. •
The Redmen look to continue their
winning ways this Wednesday
against the Mitchell Blue Devils in
their first league game at CHSS.
Seniors play first at 3 p.m.
Juniors to follow around 4:30.
