Huron Expositor, 2007-11-21, Page 261 1 Page 26 The Huron Expositor • November 21, 2007 Correspondence Craft and bake sale draws a crowd over weekend Queensway Nursing Home's annual craft and bake sale drew a good crowd Saturday, Nov. 17 with vendors selling handmade jewelry, wooden crafts, Avon products, candles and handcraft- ed cards, knitwear and crochet, tatted bookmarks, wild- flower fridge mag- nets, and of course lots of wonderful baking and homemade candy. Keith Lewis of Hensall United Church led wor- ship for resi- dents Tuesday afternoon with Francis Kinsman as volunteer pianist. In the evening Carol Lebeau played her keyboard in the nurs- ing home sunroom with several residents joining in an impromp- tu sing song while others clapped in time to the music. Lisa Stewart, music therapist, directed the Chime Choir Friday morning for its twice monthly practice. We are noticing an improvement each time we meet. Residents also benefited fro exercises, massage therapy wi'tli Lori Burt RMT, physio, breakfast group and euchre and manicures throughout the week. Eight volunteer -auxiliary mem- bers along with Programs and Restorative Care staff attended the Alzheimer Society's Dementia 2007 Workshop at Clinton's Betty Cardno Centre Tuesday Nov. 13 for a very infor- mative presentation.
