Legion to hold Remembrance Dinner on Saturday
The Huron Expositor • November 7, 2007 Page 39
Halloween is over with all its spooks
and trick -or -treaters. Now we turn to
Remembrance, a time veterans will
never forget. So we pay our respects and
try to thank them for giving us a country
that is still free to live in and enjoy.
Last Sunday, we held our church ser-
vice at Egmondville United Church with
our Padre Steve Hildebrand in charge,
Comrade Frank Golding telling the chil-
dren the meaning of the poppy and
President Comrade Gwen Harburn
lighting the candles in respect to our vet-
erans.
Under the capable leadership of
Comrade Rick Fortune, the Poppy Drive
was held Sunday afternoon and thank
you to all the members and volunteers
who took part.
On Saturday, Nov 10, we will hold our
Remembrance
Dinner with social
hour 6-7 p.m. with a
roast beef supper to
follow. Tickets are
now at the bar.

will assemble at
10:30 a.m. to parade
to the cenotaph for
our Remembrance
service and return
to the branch for
lunch and a time of
comradeship and
entertainment We

Manor on Nov 8 at
