Ralph home from the hospital.
"It's been incredible, overwhelm-
ing," she said.
The Woods have been very busy
recently setting up schedules for
continuing therapy for Ralph and
for greater accessibility in their
home. They said it's likely they'll
need to sell their home and build a
more accessible house.
Dianne said the community can
still help by offering rides to physio-
theraphy and various other appoint-
ments to Ralph or just dropping by
for a visit.
"It's going to be a long winter
since Ralph can't get his driver's
licence until spring," she said.
Home for . a week from the hospi-
tal and using a wheelchair for the
past three, Ralph is already raring
to go deer hunting in Huron County
with his friends.
While it was devastating to learn
he likely would never walk again,
learning that he would still be able
to drive and pull the trigger on his
shotgun has kept Ralph going, said
Dianne.
"A visit from a fellow from
Goderich who's
been in a wheel-
chair for 30 years
but still hunts
and fishes did so
much for Ralph's
spirits," said
Dianne.
"I got the okay
to fire a shotgun
and an automat-
ic loader for my
bow. But, it'll be
fun just being
out there in the
buish," said
Ralph.
The Woods
said they can't
thank the com-
munity enough
for the time,
effort and sup-
port put towards
the weekend
fundraiser.
"We hope
everyone had as
much fun as we
did. We couldn't
have asked for
more," said Dianne.
