Louie, Louie greets the viewer of
the band's new webpage at
www.seaforthgirlsband.com.
While the band has had an email
address for years, it recently
launched a webpage to share infor-
mation with its members and the
community.
Designed by Emma Armstrong, a
University of Western Ontario stu-
dent who's been a band member
since she was 11, the webpage
includes the band's history, upcom-
ing events, frequently asked ques-
tions about how to join, the band's
musical repertoire and contact
information.
"We really need a webpage. In this
day and age, it's a good tool," says
band executive member Penny
Breen.
Trying to organize the band's 50th
anniversary last summer, Breen
says band members set up a
Facebook page on the internet and
attracted over 100 people who gath-
ered there to chat about the old
days and reminisce about the
marching band.
"It helped us find a few people and
let them know about the reunion,"
she says, adding that she hopes
having a webpage for the band will
help members communicate better.
As well, she hopes the webpage
will help to spread the word about
the band and facilitate recruiting
new members.
Another successful recruitment

I wish to thank all of those who took
the time to vote. Thanks to all the
volunteers who helped and all the
candidates. An election is an
opportunity to pause, and have a
dialogue on the issues which face us
as a province. Now we must move
forward.
I wish to thank all the people of
Huron-Bnice for their support. It is an
honour and a privilege to serve you.
