Preparing for this Saturday's sea- son opener in Seaforth against Lambton Shores at 9:15 p.m., Campbell says the juveniles are aiming to reach the finals in their second year of play after achieving the semi-finals in their first season last year. "We didn't expect to go that far in our first year but we had a very tal- ented team so there's a little pres- sure on us this year," she says. Campbell says there was no short- age of players interested in playing for the Seaforth juveniles. "We took a lot of phone calls," she says, adding that the team is six players larger than last year's team. And, while most of the players are from Seaforth, a few are from Clinton and Blyth where minor hockey leagues do not include juve- nile teams. While the Seaforth Centenaires Junior D hockey team folded five years ago, the expansion of minor hockey to the juvenile level allows players aged 18-20 to con- tinue playing hockey. Campbell says she's hoping the juveniles continue to pack in crowds at the arena dur- ing their Saturday night home games.
