recently with one less team
than last year, according to
organizer and coach Rob
Hunking.
He said there are four
ladies' teams, one coed team
and six men's teams.
"We're down one men's
team," he said. "Last year
we had two juvenile teams.
This year we've only got one
juvenile team in the
league."
The season started on
Thursday, Oct. 4 with a
game between Winthrop
and the Central West
Hitmen.
The league, which plays
all its games in Seaforth,
draws players from
Mitchell, St. Marys, Staffa,
Exeter, Lucan, Blyth,
Brussels and Clinton.
"It's a large drawing area,"
he said.
Hunking is coaching the
Central West
Hitmen again
this year.
He said that
while there were
enough players
in past years for
two teams,
"whereas this
year, due to
schooling and
other commit-
ments, we only
have enough to
put one team in
the league."
