Fall colours not as vibrant
What a great
week weather-
wise in Winthrop
- a little bit of several types, warm
days, cooler nights and some rain.
The white beans are being har-
vested daily. Fall colours are not as
brilliant as some years but still
beautiful - so on your drives take a
moment to savour the view.
Rev. John's sermon at Cavan
United Church was "Redeeming
The Familiar.” Grace and Frank
Dolmage were the greeters and col-
lectors.
The Campbell Thanksgiving get
together had all the family pre-
sent. Also enjoying the festivities
were Brian and Carol Ann
Campbell, Theresa and Julie
Campbell and their families.
Michael Campbell
was up north on a
hunting trip.
Susan MacDonald and her sister
Sally of Tillsonburg have returned
from a trip to Vancouver where
they visited Susan's son Jason and
other friends. They toured the
major sites of the city.
A highlight for Susan was a hike
in the rain forest in the mountains.
The high temperature was 15
degrees with rain most days.
Beatrice Campbell spent
Thanksgiving weekend with her
daughter Shiela and family in
London.
