Rev. Dr. Yearwood
speaks at
communion
What a lovely Sunday in Winthrop -
warm with a nice breeze! The leaves
are gently floating down.
The guest speaker for World Wide
Communion Service was Rev. Dr.
Cyril Yearwood from Toronto. He is
Pastor at Drake Memorial British
Episcopal Church in Brantford.
Rev. John and pastor Steve took
the communion service. All three
churches participated in the sacra-
ment.
The Winthrop Quartet was to sing
at this service but since I was ill it
turned out to be the Winthrop Trio
plus two from Northside. Audrey
and Joan filled in at the last minute.
Next Sunday is Thanksgiving and
service at Cavan United Church will
be at its usual time of 9:30 a.m.
On Wednesday evening, Cavan
U.C.W. held a meeting to discuss
several new
updates to the
basement.
