comes first
overall at cross
country meet
Seaforth Public
School came first over-
all against five local
schools in the regional
cross country meet held
at Hullett Central
School in Londesboro
last Wednesday.
Individual cross coun-
try teams from SPS
coming first in the meet
were novice boys, junior
girls, intermediate girls
and senior boys.
SPS's novice girls and
midget boys' teams
came second while the
midget girls and inter-
mediate boys came
third.
Seaforth runners com-
ing first in their age
group included William
Ringgenberg, in the
intermediate boys and
Tabitha Arts in the
intermediate girls.
In second place were
Paul Doig, in the senior
boys, Lexi Cook in the
senior girls, Farren
Goos in junior girls,
Austin Henry in midget
boys, Jared Smith in
novice boys.
In fifth place were
Melissa Glanville in
intermediate girls,
Mackenzie Melady in
junior girls and Shanna
Cardno in novice girls.
In sixth place were

midget boys and Amy

Courtney Campbell in
novice girls.
In eighth place were
Blake Sangster in senior
boys, Allison Braecker in
midget girls and Justin
Beuerman in novice boys.
In ninth place were
Spencer Gibbs in senior
boys, David Metzger and
Scott Chisholm in novice
boys.
In 10th place were
Natasha Arts in midget
girls and Duncan
Greidanus in novice boys.
There were more than 30
runners in each category.
St. James junior boys and girls
take home first place in Goderich
invitational soccer tournament
St. James School in
Seaforth came first in the
junior boys' and junior
girls' divisions of the
Huron County invitational
soccer tournament for
Catholic schools in
Goderich,last Thursday.
The St. James junior
boys won all three games
against St. Boniface in
Zurich, Precious Blood in
Exeter and St. Joseph's in
Clinton.
The St. James junior
girls tied their first game
against St. Boniface, won
the second against
Precious Blood and won
the finals in a 3-2 game
with a kick-off against
Sacred Heart in Wingham.
St. James also came sec-
ond in the senior boys'
division, losing in the
finals to St. Mary's in
Goderich.
The St. James senior
girls came fifth, losing one
game and tying two.
