How would independent candidate protect women
from violent spouses, voter wants to know
To the Editor,
Elections are just a week away.
So it is really time to research who
it is we want to vote for.
For the past month I have been
trying to get some answers from
Dennis Valenta who is running in
the provincial election as an inde-
pendent.
He has a website, and based on
the information there, and on his
storefront in Clinton I wanted to
ask him a few questions.
I sent two short emails to his
website but I received no answer.
Now that feature on his site has
been removed. So
I thought I would
try this route.
I have some
concerns about
the things Mr.
Valenta wants to
change. His main
platform is fami-
ly law.
He says on
his website that
family law is
destroying fami-
lies. Well, I
believe that fam-
ilies are
destroyed before
they get to court.
I believe that
if a parent (male
or female) does
not get. access or

Ontario's current energy
plan is full of gas.
Something doesn't smell right.
Ontario is shutting down its coal
plants and fast -tracking natural
gas generation — a plan that will
send energy bills skyrocketing.
They say natural gas,
intermittent renewables like
wind power, and unpredictable
conservation will meet our
energy needs through 2014.
But with nuclear supply and new
transmission lines hung up

riskiest gambit. We can have

2) co -fire biomass like they
do in Europe; 3) expedite nuclear
