hold World Wide
Communion
What beautiful weather in Winthrop.
Both weekend days were gorgeous -
Saturday evening being quite fresh.
This is great weather for the end of
September and getting the beans off
and the wheat sown.
Rev. John's sermon at Cavan United
Church was titled "Money Talks."
Greeters and collectors were Jim and
Ruth Axtmann.
Next Sunday is World Wide
Communion to be held at Northside at
11 a.m. but hosted by Cavan United
Church. Special speaker is Rev. Cyril
Yearwood.
The following Sunday is
Thanksgiving and regular services at
Cavan at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome to
both services.
Don, Maja and Paul Dodds have
returned home after spending a week
at the International Plowing Match at
Crosby.
Prior to travelling to Crosby, Don and
Maja attended the Frontenac and Wolfe
Island Plowing Match. While there they
visited with Pat and Eleanor Dickey
both in Kingston and at their island cot-
tage on Big Rideau Lake.
Bob and Ruth Campbell got in anoth-
er weekend of camping at Auburn
Riverside Retreat. The weather cooper-
ated beautifully.
