Fall Fair
turnout
`pretty good,'
says Ag
Society
Aaron J a c k l i n
The Seaforth Agricultural Society put on the
162nd Seaforth fall fair over the weekend despite
not having many volunteers.
"They're in short supply," said Ag Society
president Marie Hicknell-Feeney.
"They're out there," said Betty Jermyn, another
director in the Ag Society and one of the organizers
behind the fair. `There's a lot of people out there
that are quite willing if they're asked, but unless
their names are on a list, I don't know to call them."
"I had to put Marie on gates today (for the
lawnmower tractor pull event) because there wasn't
anyone else," she said on Sunday.
Hicknell-Feeney said she thought the turn -out
"was pretty good, but I always think we could have
more."
She said she was pleased with Friday's parade.
"Where were lots of little ones," she said. "It's nice
to see the children out."
Other Friday events included a heavy horse show,
a magic show, sheep judging, a pedal pull and the
