"They say they'll do it if they're able," she says, adding that once a larger number begin to participate, she'll link their locations to the tourism website to inform tourists of accessible gas stations. While Archie's UPI was already a full service gas station before erect- ing the sign, McLachlan says the sign "is key" to easing the minds of travellers who need help filling up. "I always make sure I thank them for being full service and give them the credit that's due. Without them, I don't know what I'd do," he says. Terry Knechtel, of UPI, says the company has several locations that are still full service County's accessibility committee is suggesting. "We've never had this type of request before but it's a good idea to create awareness. The sign is an indicator that we welcome all customers," he says.
