spending the week with his grand-

Carol and Francis Hunt were the
greeters and collectors.
Four couples spent the weekend
camping in the Owen Sound area.
Mike and Shirley Ann Boven, Jim
and Val Shortreed, Doug and Vicki

Schroeder took their children in
Storeybook Park in the area,
where the children enjoyed them-
selves, even though it was a bit
damp.
Rev. John and Natalie Gould
visited the train show in St.
Thomas on Sunday.
Chris and Mary Cardno and
girls visited Carol and Francis
Hunt on Sunday.
Don and Maja Dodds visited
with Lynne and Ron Godkin and
family last week to celebrate
Brent's 15th birthday and Lynne
and Ron's 20th anniversary.
A large number of people from
the Winthrop area attended the
Huron County Plowing Match at
Leeming Farms last Friday. The
Fish Fry raises close to $1,500

At Hensall United Church Mona
Alderdice was the greeter with Cecil
Pepper and Mona Alderdice receiving
the offering. Judy Kyle looked after the
young people.
Rev. Keith Lewis conducted the service
and as a follow-up to last week showed a
piece of pottery he had recently crafted.

While repairing the Hensall Library
steps last week, a
time capsule from
1984 containing
the minutes of a
council meeting and
the Centennial pro-
gram was found.
