ROGERSON
In loving memory of a dear husband, Ken, who
passed away one year ago, August 10, 2006
Ken, the moment that you died
My heart split in two,
The one side filled with memories,
The other died with you.
I think of you in silence,
I always speak your name,
For all I have are memories,
And your picture in a
frame.
It broke my heart to lose you,
But you didn't go alone,
For a part of me went with you,
The day God called you home.
I often lay awake at night,
When the world is fast asleep,
And take a walk down memory lane,
With tears upon my cheeks.
The years I had with you,
Are worth their weight in gold,
The joy and laughter that you gave to me,
Are mine to have and hold.
Remembering you is easy to do,
I do it every day,
Like seeing you combing fields of grain,
And the many other tasks the same.
But missing you is a heartache,
That never goes away.
I hold you closely within my heart,
And there you'll always remain,
To walk with me throughout my life
Until we meet again.
- Forever loved and deeply missed by wife Marg

Hullett offers
astronomy night
for star -gazers
Astronomers are called 'naturalists
of the night' so the Hullett Provincial
Wildlife Area, a nature lovers' para-
dise, presents Astronomy Night at
Hullett!
The property has many locations
where you're able to view the sky as
it was meant to be viewed - under
clear, pristine and dark country
skies.
Saturday, Aug. 11 at 8 p.m., every-
one is welcome to come out and
"drink in" the beauty and mystique of
the summer night sky.
View the Perseid Meteor Shower,
where an average of 90 meteors/hour
at peak blaze through the heavens.
Perhaps we will even see a bolide
or `fireball' meteor on this evening.
See examples of star clusters, neb-
ulae and even galaxies too!
Jupiter makes a fine evening show-
ing in the telescope — experience the
view of another planet for the first
time.
Bring your whole family plus your
binoculars with you and if you have a
telescope, bring it along too!
A 4.25" reflector and 9.25"
Schmidt -
Cassegrain tele-
scope will be on
hand for public
viewing (weather
permitting) as
well.
The universe
is a very large
place!
For instance,
imagine the
Earth is the size
of a baseball
(approximately
three inches in
diameter), the
Moon (240,000
miles away) will
be the size of a
ping-pong ball,
lying 6.7 feet
away from the
baseball.
The Sun, in
this scale model,
will be a huge
ball, 26 feet in
diameter a half a
mile away!
The star party
will meet at 8
p.m. at the main
viewing stand
just at 40905
Summerhill Rd.
