Van Egmond House
Breakfast
Heather Zaple photos
Young and old attended a fundraiser for
the Van Egmond Foundation on the
weekend. Above, Jim Burns serves John
Turnbull eggs at the Van Egmond House
Country Breakfast on Sunday morning.
At left, Isaiah Sills, of Seaforth, hauls
his full plate back from the chow line.
A trip to Bingeman's Park is on
Tuesday, Aug. 7, not Aug. 4 as was
reported . in the Dublin News last
week.

This
past week
i n
Winthrop saw lots of acres
of wheat combined and
straw bales sitting in the
cut fields. If you go north
of Wroxeter you will see
stooks of wheat in the
fields. This type of har-
vesting will be remem-
bered by us "older folk."
A social time was held
on Sunday afternoon at
Winthrop Ball Park for
newlyweds Stephanie and
Habeeb Syed. (I mis-
spelled the name in the
July 25 issue. My apolo-
gies). A lovely salad lunch
was served with barbe-
cued beef.
Bill Millson
did a great
job on the barbecue.
Beatrice Campbell has
returned home from visit-
ing her daughter Sheila
and family, of London.
Sympathy of the commu-
nity is extended to the
family of Mary McClure
who passed away recently.
Several people from the
area attended the events
in Brussels on the week-
end as they celebrated 135
years of incorporation.
