NETWORK SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Tuckersmith Communications Co-operative Limited is a
communications company offering a full range of telephone and
data services in Huron and Perth Counties.
Position Overview
The Network Service Technician reports directly to the Plant
Operations Manager. The focus of this position is to install,
maintain and repair various telecom/data network elements.
Duties:
- Basic PC hardware troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve PC and Server hardware and/or software
Kpblems
Troubleshoot all devices and resolve LAN and WAN connectivity
problems or loss of service
- Configure and install Servers and migrate data
- Configure and install telecom digital and VOIP phone systems
- Be able to work flexible hours
- Be available for on-call outside of regular business hours to deal
with network related emergencies or service affecting issues.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Two/three year Information Technology diploma or demonstrated
experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive attitude and team spirit
- Must have a valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- In depth knowledge of data networking and network design
including routing and switching (ospf, vlans, spanning tree etc.),
layer 2/3 networks and ACLs
- Expertise in wide area networks, local area networks, Internet, iP
applications, Hosting and IP telephony
- Expertise in systems administration (BSD UNIX. Linux, Win 2k
server, DNS, fileservers, Webservers, etc)
- Certifications from appropriate vendors such as Nortel, Cisco,
Microsoft etc.
- Knowledge of wireless technologies including wireless LAN and
fixed wireless access
- Telecommunications experience. (VOIP, analogue, T1 etc)

Nursing Home on Thursday, July 26, 2007,
Margaret (Robinson) Stephenson, formerly of
Egmondville and Seaforth, at age 93. Beloved wife
of the late Elmore Stephenson. Dear mother of Paul
and Elaine Stephenson of Varna and Grace and
Tom Partridge of Orangeville. Loved by five grand-
children, Shellie Riley, Cheryl VandenHeuvel,
Suzanne Dale, David Partridge and Jonathan
Partridge and seven great grandchildren, Mitchell,
Alexis, Hunter, Deric, Chelsea, Colby and Connor.
Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Annie
(Reid) Robinson and two sisters and their hus-
bands, Grace and Bruce McClinchey and Isabel
and Rev. Andrew McKenzie. Family received
friends at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home,
Seaforth, on Friday evening. Funeral service was
held at Egmondville United Church, Egmondville
on Saturday, July 28 at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Stephen
