Community offers sympathy to
Winthrop had a nice rain and the
temperatures are still comfortable. The
wheat is being harvested and lawn
mowers are being used again.
Brian and Susan MacDonald attended
the wedding of their daughter Stephanie
to Habeeb Fyed on Saturday in Niagara -
on -the -Lake. The day was beautiful.
Jason MacDonald was home from
Vancouver for his sister's wedding.
Sympathy of the community is
extended to the family of Helen Storey
who passed away recently. Helen was
raised near Kinburn and moved to her
late residence on the 8th of McKillop,
now Winthrop Road after her mar-
riage. Helen loved to quilt and was an
avid, knitter often knitting mitts which
she donated to those in need.
'Sympathy of the community is also
extended to the family of Pearl
Dolmage who passed away recently.
Pearl and her late husband Roy,
farmed for many years on what is now
Division Line. When son Dennis took
over the farm, they moved to Winthrop
Road where they lived until moving to
Huronlea.
Brian and Carolann Campbell have
recently returned home from a trip to
Kentucky. Here they visited the various
horse farms and the Keeneland Track.
They also took a historical tour of
Lexington. From here they went to
Branson, Missouri before returning
home.
Loretta Dolmage recently returned
from visiting family and friends in
Newfoundland. Her home area is
Woody Point near Gros Morne
National Park. Some of this area is a
World Heritage National Park where
the rock and rock formations are being
studied. She reported seeing lots of
whales.
Ruth and Bob Campbell visited
Sunday with Pam and To.dd
MacDonald and
boys.
