Love, your family Correspondence Teacher receives unique bridal shower Even though June 21 isn't here yet, we are sure having summer-like weather. Rev. John's sermon at Cavan was titled "From a Different Angle." Greeters and collectors were Ruth Campbell and Eric Anderson. Next Sunday is the "Brunch in the Park" with an outdoor service at Wmthrop Park. Church service is at 10 a.m. and will feature special music fol- lowed by a brunch. Everyone is welcome to join us. A special bridal shower was held at Cavan Church for Stephanie MacDonald. A school setting was the order of the day with old desks, early 1900s costumes, and even a "dunce." This was appropriate as Stephanie is a teacher. The program included spelling, reading, history and geography lessons, as well as gifts. The Campbell bunch had their Father's Day get-together at Pam and Zbdd MacDonald's in Blyth. Sympathy of the community is extend- ed to Carolyn and Paul Somerville and family on the passing of Carolyn's moth- er. The funeral was held on Saturday. Mary Lou and John Driscoll visited recently with Mary Lou's sister Barb and husband Fred at Sundridge. She reports the black ffies are hungry.
