silver in provincials
Carol Carter, Jo Anne Bugler, Maureen Thompson and Gloria McFalls,
representing the Seaforth Lawn Bowling Club, won silver at the provincial
lawn bowling championships over the weekend in Burlington.
"We bowled 10 hours a day in that hot sun but the provincials are always
tough - the competition was excellent," says Carter.
She says insteadof winning the four straight games to win gold, the
Seaforth-based team took the silver route, winning five games out of six.
"It doesn't matter if you win gold or silver when you get to the nationals,"
she says.
The team will bowl in the nationals in Montreal from Aug. 19 to 25.
