Seaforth holds first lawn
bowuirig tournament of season
The Seaforth Lawn Bowling Club held
their first tournament of the season on
Friday, June 8 sponsored by the Bridges
of Seaforth.
Ninety-two bowlers were present for
this successful tournament commencing
at 9:30 a.m.
A hearty welcome was extended to all
on behalf of the Bridges by Karen Jeffrey
and for the club by President Carol
Carter.
Draw masters for the day were Neil
Beuerman and Fred Tilly.
First draw winners were, first, Chuck
and Kathy Townsend, of London
Fairmont; second, Bill Baxter and
Maureen Thompson of London; third,
Bruce and Brenda Marshall, of Exeter;
fourth, Peter and Gloria McFalls, of
Exeter, fifth, Fred Tilley and Diane Marc
of Seaforth.
Other first game winners were from
Sarnia, Dresden, Elmwood and London.
Second draw winners were first, Zbm
and Laura Roth, of Sarnia; second,

Upcoming events will see a men's pairs
tournament at the greens on Wednesday,
June 13 at 10 am. sponsored by Design
Concrete.
Friday, June 15 at 6 p.m. will be the
first barbecue of the season with our
favourite chefs doing hot dogs and ham-
burgers.
Bowling in Exeter last Wednesday in
men's pairs, Fred Tilley and Bill
Robertson won fifth prize.
